Butterfly world

Here you walk through carefully controlled tropical rain forest with lush vegetation and loads of magnificent butterflies of every imaginable and unimaginable color and size fluttering around you. There are over five thousand of butterflies roaming freely in this huge butterfly house – the largest butterfly house in the United States. It is the home to more than 5 thousand different species, imported from South and Central America, Asia, and Malaysia, the Philippines and Taiwan. The butterflies of five continents will greet you, as they fly, feed and bask in the sun all around you. The park was founded by Ronald Boender and Clive Farrell in 1988. Landscape designer James Gardner came from London. It is the largest exposition and research center. The pavilions are decorated by beautiful flowering shrubs and exotic vines that attract butterflies, you can see adult butterflies feed on the exotic blossoms. Ponds with exotic fish, waterfalls, a suspension bridge and the most interesting – a laboratory where you can watch the butterflies, newly hatched from the incubator and caterpillars in all stages of their development. In The Treasures of Heaven pavilion you will meet amazing little birds - hummingbirds- of incredible coloring, they are capable of speeding up to 75 miles per hour. Thousands of exotic butterflies and families of free flying birds soar all around you in the Tropical Rain Forest Aviary, the jewel of Butterfly World! Circle through the rain forest, where thousands of tropical plants gracefully arch over the path and butterflies flit from branch to branch. The Secret Garden features flowering Passion Vines and many other interesting plants, including the stunning Dutchman's Pipe and many other incredible flora. In the English Rose Garden over 20 varieties bloom all year round, enchanting everyone with timeless beauty and fragrance. Stunning insect museum also deserves attention of both connoisseurs and amateurs. Paradise Adventure pavilion is a real tropical paradise of immense fluttering butterflies, including rare specimens. Wingspan of some of them reaches 30 cm. Here you can find the "Isabella", "Malachite Butterfly" and many other rare species of these amazing creatures.
